About the Role

The Press Coordinator will coordinate the day-to-day flow of titles through the press department, manage department maintenance, ensure weekly inventories are completed, order parts and supplies, and develop and implement training programs for new operators and cross-training initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and log preventative maintenance tasks in FMX.
  • Assist in ensuring weekly supply inventories are completed.
  • Assist in ordering parts and supplies.
  • Submit rework when necessary and track rework causes.
  • Communicate with department leaders and IT team regarding system concerns.
  • Coordinate with other scheduling coordinators to meet clear date needs, proactively updating next areas on late or early transactions.
  • Offer input and suggestions for workflow to minimize overtime and balance loads between equipment and platforms.
  • Recommend areas for labor reduction or overtime needs based on scheduled loads via cost center clear dates.
  • Focus on total jobs to minimize production of WIP stored for more than 48 hours.
  • Demonstrate good housekeeping attitudes and practices.
  • Support the CJK Group Core Values throughout the company.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures while maintaining awareness of workplace safety.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED/HiSET.
  • Good interpersonal skills and critical thinking/problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all work groups.
  • Flexibility and ability to think outside the box to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to lead while also being a team player.
  • Ability to work productively under stressful situations with or without direction.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer literacy; ability to learn scheduling software, production software, and Microsoft applications.
  • Effective email and electronic communication skills.
  • Reliable with good attendance; required to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Continuous standing required.
  • Frequent walking and stooping required.
  • Occasional sitting, crouching, and reaching/working overhead.
  • Good visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • Work environment involves exposure to excessive noise, moving machinery, and potential arm/wrist fatigue.
  • Must wear hearing protection and safety shoes.
