Responsibilities
- Assist in the efficient operation of the Printing Department and the organization of its holding areas.
- Learn to operate the Guillotine, Sheeter, and Aerator.
- Learn Press Operator C duties to function as a back-up team member when required.
- Move and organize stock in the holding areas.
- Pull rolls for the Sheeter and stock behind presses.
- Fill in for Sheeter Operator and Press Operator C as needed.
- Operate the Guillotine when required.
- Fill out all appropriate documentation.
- Clean up holding areas, Sheeter vicinity, and guillotine area.
- Operate the Aerator when required.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules, security procedures, and instructions.
- Perform all duties according to established safety policy, including wearing all required PPE.
- Help keep the department in compliance with 5S and SQF guidelines.
- Immediately report any food safety concerns to management.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of work-related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good computer skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good mathematical ability, including understanding of measurements.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Pass a color blindness test.
