About the role
The Preseason Community Facilitator plays a crucial role in fostering a sense of community among student athletes at Stevenson School. Preseason begins two weeks before the start of classes, allowing for the formation of connections, friendships, and team bonds.
Responsibilities
- Lead a variety of activities throughout the day including beach walks, hikes, team building activities, game nights, and other events.
- Work with both individual teams and combined groups throughout the day while practices are not in session.
- Work on a rotating schedule during the evenings to ensure students are accounted for and foster community within residential spaces.
- Be prepared to perform other duties as deemed necessary.
Requirements
- Experience in outdoor education or team-building facilitation in a group setting.
- Experience working with high school students in a residential environment preferred.
- Technical outdoor skills (hiking, ocean safety, climbing…) a plus.
- First Aid / CPR certification required (Training scheduled for 8/8/2026).
- Able to respond to and report incidents should they arise.

- Competitive daily compensation ranging from $200 - $230, commensurate with experience.

Pay
- $200 - $230 per day
Schedule
- Residency on campus from August 8th through August 23rd, 2026.
- Rotating evening schedule to ensure student accountability and community building.
