Team Building Facilitator
About the role
Join our mission of providing life-changing experiences that enhance independence and self-esteem for children and adults with disabilities! As a Team Building Facilitator, you'll lead groups through high ropes courses, climbing activities, and team-building challenges that build confidence, communication, and trust. You'll spend your days outdoors helping participants grow while creating meaningful experiences for children and adults with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Safely lead and supervise team-building and challenge course activities
- Facilitate group discussions and debriefs that encourage reflection and growth
- Set up, inspect, maintain, and store program equipment
- Communicate effectively with participants and fellow staff members
- Operate tools and equipment as needed
- Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive experience for participants of all abilities
Requirements
- We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dependable, and passionate about helping others succeed.
- Ideal candidates will:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be available for required training August 24–28, 2026, and at least one weekday per week (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) thereafter
- Be comfortable with heights and physical activity
- Be willing to work at Camp Friendship and Camp Courage, with occasional travel to Camp Eden Wood as needed
- Have the ability to guide groups through challenges and encourage teamwork
- Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Successfully pass a background check
Qualifications
- No Experience? No Problem! Previous facilitation or ropes course experience is not required. We provide comprehensive training and support to help you succeed in the role.

Pay
Pay $17.42/hour during training $20–$25/hour based on the number of events facilitated. More events facilitated = greater earning potential
Schedule
Schedule Part-time with flexible hours Events typically run from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM (hours may vary)
