Team Leader

About the role

The Team Leader is a full-time, on-site role based at the Chick-fil-A restaurant in East Brunswick, NJ. This role oversees daily front-of-house and/or back-of-house operations, ensuring food quality, speed of service, and cleanliness standards are consistently met. The Team Leader supports and guides Team Members during shifts, provides coaching and feedback, and helps manage shift assignments, breaks, and task delegation. The Team Leader also partners with restaurant leadership on training, team communication, and reinforcing Chick-fil-A's hospitality and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with opening and closing procedures
• Monitoring customer experience and resolving guest concerns
• Maintaining safety and food-handling compliance
• Managing shift assignments, breaks, and task delegation
• Providing coaching and feedback to Team Members

Qualifications

• Experience in team leadership or supervisory roles in food service, retail, or hospitality, with the ability to coach, motivate, and support diverse teams
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with a focus on hospitality, problem-solving, and maintaining a positive guest experience
• Ability to manage shift operations, including task organization, time management, and adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards
• Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems and comfort following operational procedures and guidelines
• Reliability in working a full-time schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative work environment

Preferred qualifications

• Previous quick-service restaurant or fast-paced operations experience is preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; additional leadership or hospitality training is a plus
