Prescriber-Psychiatry(APRN/PA)

About the role

The Prescriber at Crossroads Health provides psychiatric assessment and medication management within the outpatient Youth Psychiatry setting in the Health Center Program. This role engages as a member of a collaborative team with a Trauma Informed approach, representing the organization’s commitment to integrated services for recovery and mental health.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric assessments, medication evaluation and management.
• Regularly assess consumers and prescribe medications for clients via office and home visits.
• Educate consumers and their families regarding medications, symptoms, illness, and side effects.
• Participate in ongoing assessment and therapeutic engagement.
• Complete comprehensive assessments for clients within 60 days of admission, as directed.

Requirements

• Master's Degree (minimum)
• Licensed in the State of Ohio as a Physician Assistant, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, or Physician
• Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (DEA registration fees and licensure paid by agency)
• Medicare Provider Number
• Professional Liability Insurance (employer provided)
• Standard Care Arrangement (annually) or Supervision Agreement (whichever applicable) (employer provided)
• BLS/First Aid (employer provided)
• Valid driver's license
