About the role

The Stanislaus County Office of Education seeks qualified candidates for Preschool Teacher positions at Sylvan Community Preschool for the upcoming school year. Positions are open until filled and applications can be submitted until the deadline.

Responsibilities

• Implement a center or home-based education program for eligible preschool children, ensuring compliance with Head Start or State program standards and other applicable guidelines.
• Develop education plans to meet the assessed needs of children in the program.
• Interpret family and child eligibility for federal and state programs.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required.
• Two years experience providing instruction to children in an early childhood setting is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is desirable.

Qualifications

• California Child Development Teacher Permit or higher level permit is required.
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification is required.
• Transcripts (unofficial or official) are required at the time of application.
• Copies of permits should include the name of the permit, permit details, authorizations, and expiration date.

Benefits

• A benefit entitlement for health, dental, and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day.

Schedule

The length of the work year is 195 paid days; 184 workdays/year, 8 hours/day (7:00 am - 3:30 pm).

Pay

Initial salary placement is restricted to a maximum of Step 3 ($28.98).
