About the role

The Full Year Preschool Associate Teacher position at Stanislaus County Office of Education is responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of a comprehensive full year child development program for preschool aged children under the supervision of the Master Teacher.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum aligned with state standards.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
• Implement daily lesson plans and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Observe and document children's progress and development.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and needs.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other educators to enhance teaching practices.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Master Teacher.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school required.
• One year experience in an early childhood setting preferred.
• Enrollment in Associates or Bachelor’s degree program in child development or related field preferred.
• Three to six units infant/toddler care development desired.
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification.
• California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
• Infant/toddler care and development desirable.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Required to provide own transportation and must have proof of insurance.

Benefits

A Benefit Entitlement for health, dental and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day.

Schedule

Length of Work Year: 247 work days/261 paid days/year, 8 hours/day (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)

Pay

Pay Range: $21.75 - $26.64 Per Hour
