About the role

The Full Year Preschool Associate Teacher position at Stanislaus County Office of Education supports the implementation of a comprehensive child development program for preschool-aged children under the supervision of the Master Teacher.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and implementation of a comprehensive full year child development program for preschool aged children.
• Provide daily care and supervision to children in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school required.
• One year experience in an early childhood setting preferred.
• Enrollment in Associates or Bachelor’s degree program in child development or related field preferred.
• Three to six units infant/toddler care development desired.
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification.
• California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
• Infant/toddler care and development desirable.

Qualifications

• Copies of Permits should include the permit name, details, authorizations, and expiration date. Obtain a copy from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website at www.ctc.ca.gov.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with children and adults.
• Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Benefits

Pay

$21.75 - $26.64 Per Hour

Schedule

Length of Work Year: 247 work days/261 paid days/year, 8 hours/day (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
