About the Role

The Little Gym of Puyallup offers a “Serious Fun” approach to early learning development, focusing on growing students mentally, emotionally, and physically. This role involves maintaining and progressing our preschool enrichment program, WonderKids Club, as well as teaching weekly gymnastics-based classes for children ages 3-5.

Responsibilities

• Lead students through games, sensory activities, science experiments, movement songs, letter and number play, and other engaging activities.
• Maintain an upbeat and positive attitude while engaging students in fun, interactive learning experiences.
• Efficiently teach curriculum and think creatively to enhance learning units with additional elements/activities.
• Understand and manage the behaviors of 3-5 year olds.
• Teach gymnastics classes and lead the WonderKids Club program.

Requirements

• Previous childcare experience required.
• A degree (or in the process of acquiring a degree) in early childhood development, education, or related studies preferred but not required.
• CPR certification preferred (or willingness to become certified).

Schedule

• WonderKids Club: Monday and Thursday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (September-June).
• Additional weekday evening and/or weekend shifts for teaching gymnastics classes.

Pay

$17.13 - $21.00 per hour.
