Preschool Director Good Shepherd School – Frankfort, Kentucky Good Shepherd School is seeking a qualified and passionate Preschool Director to lead our preschool program. The Preschool Director is responsible for the overall administration, supervision, and daily operation of the preschool, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of young children. Responsibilities Direct and supervise the daily operation of the preschool program.Ensure compliance with all Kentucky licensing, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.Recruit, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate preschool staff.Maintain required staff-to-child ratios and appropriate classroom coverage.Oversee curriculum implementation and support developmentally appropriate instructional practices.Foster positive relationships with students, families, staff, and the school community.Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, program activities, and concerns.Maintain accurate student, staff, attendance, health, and licensing records.Coordinate enrollment, registration, and retention efforts.Assist with budget planning, purchasing, and management of preschool resources.Ensure staff complete required training, certifications, and continuing education.Maintain a safe, secure, and nurturing environment through effective health, safety, and emergency procedures.Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Pastor. Qualifications Applicants must meet Kentucky Preschool Director licensing requirements, including: Minimum age of 21 years.Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred; other qualifying credentials and experience accepted under Kentucky regulations.Minimum four (4) years of documented experience in a licensed or certified child care, preschool, Head Start, or school setting.Supervisory or lead teacher experience preferred.Completion of required Kentucky pre-service and annual continuing education training.Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.Successful completion of all required state and federal background checks and health requirements.
