About the role
Under the direction of a program administrator, assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive child development program for preschool-aged children; provide support to students and parents.
Responsibilities

- Provide support to students and parents.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school required.
- Enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program preferred.
- One year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
- California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher level permit.
- Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification.
- College transcripts (copies of permits should be obtained from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website).
- May be required to provide own transportation.
The following are not required at time of application, but will be required if offered employment:
- Department of Justice fingerprint clearance.
- Tuberculosis clearance.
- Physical/drug screen clearance.
- Official transcripts.
Pay
Pay range: $21.75 - $26.64 per hour. Initial salary placement is restricted to a maximum of Step 3 ($24.22/hr).
Schedule
184 work days / 195 paid days per year, 4 hours per day (7:30 AM - 11:30 AM). Part-time position.
Benefits
A benefit entitlement for health, dental, and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day.

- Must comply with Senate Bill 792 immunization requirements for influenza, pertussis, and measles.
