Job Summary
Under the direction of a program administrator, assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive child development program for preschool aged children; provide support to students and parents.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from high school required
- Enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program preferred
- One year experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
- Must be 18 years old
- Must provide own transportation - may use own vehicle or other method of transportation selected by employee

- California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher level permit (Copies of Permits should include the name of the permit, permit details, authorizations, and expiration date. You may obtain a copy from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website at www.ctc.ca.gov.)
- Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification

Pay and Schedule
- Pay Range: $21.95 - $26.88 per hour (Range 7 CFS CSEA Classified Salary Schedule; initial salary placement restricted to a maximum of Step 3 - $24.44/hr)
- Length of Work Year: 180 days/year, 8 hours/day (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
- Program: Child/Family Services
- Work Location: Riverbank, Head Start
Benefits
- A Benefit Entitlement for health, dental and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day.
