Miami Valley Child Development Centers (MVCDC) is seeking an Assistant Teacher – Head Start.

Responsibilities

• Support a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom for children ages 3–5.
• Bring lessons to life through interactive activities and play-based learning.
• Support daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and transitions.
• Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through individualized attention and group activities.
• Partner with families to build strong relationships and provide ongoing communication about their child’s progress.
• Collaborate with your classroom team to ensure consistent and effective teaching practices.
• Support children with diverse needs by adapting lesson plans and providing additional assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• At least one year of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting.
• Valid Ohio Early Childhood Educator License (ECE).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
