Miami Valley Child Development Centers (MVCDC) is seeking an Assistant Teacher – Head Start.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside a Lead Teacher to support a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom for children ages 3–5.
- Help bring lessons to life.
- Support daily routines.
- Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
- Partner with families.
- Collaborate with your classroom team.
- Support children with diverse needs.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of experience working with young children.
- Able to pass a background check.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well with children and adults.
- Experience with child development theories and practices.
- Knowledge of Head Start program requirements and best practices.
