Presales Consultant

About the role

This role is Hybrid based on-site three days per week in our Austin, TX office.

Responsibilities

• Clearly articulate the benefits of Sage's retail solutions to all levels including lines of business managers and “C” level executives
• Conduct deep dive discoveries with Account Executives to uncover customer challenges and outcomes as they relate to our products and services
• Develop, present, and deliver high-impact demonstrations of the retail solutions to all levels of ecommerce staff
• Support Account Executives and Customer Account Managers in production of high-quality sales proposals and supporting materials
• Maintain monthly, quarterly and annual quota objectives working in tandem with the Account Executives and Customer Account Managers
• Provide input to other cross-functional departments pertaining to prospect requests and product enhancements as needed
• Represent Sage as retail subject matter experts at Agency and Technology partner events where necessary (< 10% travel required)
• Mentor and assist in onboarding of new Pre Sales Consultants and Sales Account Executives where necessary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a presales or consulting role within the technology industry
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and prospects
• Strong understanding of retail operations and technology solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is a plus
