Prep Cook (Temp)

Responsibilities

• Treat guests with courtesy and respect in a variety of situations
• Deliver outstanding service and create memorable experiences
• Cook meats according to specified recipes
• Prepare vegetables by washing, chopping, grating, and slicing them for various dishes
• Complete daily prep list and store ingredients properly
• Follow recipes precisely and practice proper food cooling and storing techniques
• Keep work area clean, sanitized, and organized
• Use a variety of food service equipment safely and efficiently
• Use sharp cutlery at all times

Requirements

• At least 2 years of prep or line cook experience in NYC at a comparable restaurant or hotel
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to stand for 8 hours or more
• Good knife skills
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment such as vita prep, robo coup, ovens, and burners

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
