Prep Cook, Point of Sale

About the role

We are seeking a Prep Cook/Cashier to assist our team at a school in DeLand. In this position, you will prepare delicious meals with our crew for students and staff. If you have a passion for feeding our youth during their favorite time of the day, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Set up the kitchen with the necessary tools and equipment
• Prepare food and present it in an appealing manner
• Follow all food safety regulations
• Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures
• Operate a Point of Sale system, handling orders placed on the website, credit card transactions, and cash

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role is required
• ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification
• Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
• Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to pass a background check
