Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant in Pigeon Forge, TN is hiring Prep Cook/Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. This is a great position to grow into the restaurant industry. Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food products including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, stocks, breads, and other food products using a variety of equipment and utensils according to the Daily Prep List.
• Perform minor machine maintenance and set up ingredients in preparation for production.
• Assign overall production of food when needed.
• Plate and garnish cooked items and prepare appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.
• Cook meats, seafood, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products.
• Prepare and portion food products prior to cooking.

Requirements

• Must pass the federally mandated E-verify process.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a professional restaurant kitchen.
• Understanding of proper use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to conduct yourself in a positive and professional manner under all circumstances, including in a high paced environment.
