Prep Aide/Cook - Hospital

About the role

The prep aide/cook is responsible for a list of daily duties assigned by the Food Services Manager. Days: 5 days per week. Hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM. Pay Range: dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh items for the salad bar and for the merchandising refrigerator and shelf stable items.
• This includes sandwiches, wraps, handmade goodies per PAR levels.
• Label and date with proper time frame to use.
• Complete daily assigned cleaning task as scheduled for the Prep Aide position, documented in SQSS.
• Assist others in the kitchen with dishes, serving tray line and customers in the cafeteria, as needed.
• Put freight away on designated day according to first in first out method.
• Remove cardboard boxes when done with freight.
• Sweep and mop dry storage weekly after truck.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous food service experience, preferred.
