Dietary Aide/Cook - Hospital
About the role
The Dietary Aide/Cook position at Citizens Health assists with the production of food for patient menus, daily sanitation, tray line, delivery and pick up of patient trays, cooking and plating of meals for patients, guests and staff. Reporting to the Food Service Manager, the role involves preparing the evening meal trays, assisting with dish washing procedures, planning and preparing production schedules, completing required sanitation procedures, delivering and picking up patient trays, and performing other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the evening meal trays.
- Aid with dish washing procedures.
- Plan and prepare production schedule and prepares the foods necessary to fill diet prescriptions during tray service.
- Wash dishes and trays.
- Complete required sanitation procedures.
- Deliver and pick up patient trays to and from patient care areas.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous food service experience, preferred.
