The role of Hospital Cook is responsible for preparing meals for patients and staff in our hospital setting. This position requires a strong commitment to food safety and adherence to dietary requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure all food preparation adheres to health and safety standards.
- Handle inventory and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
- Follow established schedules and procedures for meal service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience in a similar kitchen environment preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety regulations.
- Good communication skills to interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
