About the Role
Join Caterpillar’s Remanufacturing Division as a Logistics I team member at the Booneville, MS facility. In this role, you will perform material-handling operations to deliver parts to the Point of Use (POU), using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, banders, and packaging systems. You’ll work in a fast-paced, safety- and quality-focused environment alongside a team that values sustainability and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Operate overhead hoists, reach trucks, sit-down and standing forklifts, overhead cranes, and electric pallet jacks to move parts in and out of production areas.
- Unload parts from tubs or baskets according to the production schedule.
- Perform order filling, processing, storing, and picking of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Operate automated packaging equipment.
- Cross-train in other positions within salary grade 1 (e.g., Disassembly 1, Cleaning 1, Assembly 1) based on qualifications and physical requirements.
- Use various computer systems, including email, to read standard work documents and enter data.
- Adhere to Built-in Safety guidelines and work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Basic computer experience, including the ability to read and interpret documents and enter data.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Must meet physical demands of the role, including standing for up to 10+ hours per shift, lifting/pushing/pulling parts up to 30 lbs., and operating forklifts for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to work in environments with frequently changing temperatures and perform tasks requiring walking, squatting, and bending for intervals of 15-30 minutes.
- Must wear proper PPE as required.
Qualifications
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
- Prior use of hoists and knowledge of engines/components.
- Experience with basic tooling (hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, etc.).
- Previous forklift experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
Pay
Starting hourly pay rate of $17.05, with potential for negotiation based on skills and experience. The pay range for this role is $17.05 - $22.15 per hour.
Schedule
- 2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday - Thursday.
- 40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime.
- Additional 7% night-shift premium.
