About the role
Aon is seeking a Premium Finance Specialist to join our team. This role is currently hybrid, with preference given to locations in Chicago or New York, though remote options may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Identify clients and prospects who might benefit from financing by collaborating with account teams and office leaders.
- Generate new premium finance loans and enhance the client retention process.
- Research, analyze, and prepare proposals and finance agreements for ARS clients, either through software or direct communication with a premium finance company.
- Provide guidance to clients and Aon colleagues on premium finance-related questions and issues.
- Capture account data from ARS account teams for renewal and prospect clients, and collaborate with the premium finance company to determine optimal deal structures.
- Create and negotiate insurance premium finance alternatives, maintain various account tracking logs/databases as needed, and develop relationships with local market leaders, AE practice leaders, and regional leaders to drive growth and meet benchmark targets.
- Support the Aon Premium Finance President in financing growth within assigned Aon Regions, and resolve outstanding premium finance debts.
- Provide premium finance training and education to Aon account teams.
Requirements
- Knowledge of financial documents, insurance industry structure, policies, and issues.
- Basic understanding of types of insurance coverages, ability to read binders, and familiarity with insurance industry.
- One to three years of insurance premium finance experience, or equivalent experience in the insurance industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and deliver clear, concise presentations.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Microsoft products, including Copilot/ChatGPT, and strong Excel skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant premium finance or insurance industry work experience.
