About the role
Delta Precision Components and its divisions (Delta Gear and Delta Research) operate an AS9100, ISO9001, and IATF 16949 registered facility manufacturing precision gear products for the aerospace and automotive industries. The facility is also NADCAP approved for non-destructive testing, including Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Nital Etch.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections on precision machined products to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements.
- Read and understand complex blueprints and operational sketches.
- Utilize various measurement tools and equipment such as coordinate measuring machines, micrometers, calipers, profilometers, optical comparators, height gages, indicators, bore gages, depth mics, and other precision instruments.
- Conduct quality audits to assess compliance with quality management systems and procedures.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the quality control process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Follow established protocols and standard operating procedures to maintain consistency in quality assurance processes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- Previous related experience in quality assurance, working with precision machined components.
- Strong blueprint and GD&T knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, quality management principles, and quality control techniques.
