About the Role

The Quality Inspector involves inspection of products made in-house and supplier purchased products using high precision measurement equipment. This role supports EXALTA Group in maximizing the number of patients served while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.

Schedule

1st shift, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Thursday. Onsite in Marquette, MI.

Responsibilities

  • Support operations to achieve optimal product quality.
  • Document inspection results and operate inspection equipment.
  • Create Non-Conformance (NC) if part(s) inspected do not meet required specifications.
  • Read measurement reports and provide feedback to engineers, machinists, and team members.
  • Perform routine Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) inspections and conduct 100% inspections as required, including inspections for in-house and purchased manufactured semi-finished and finished goods.
  • Inspect for conformance to specifications, drawings, and inspection requirements using various visual, physical, mechanical, and/or electrical evaluations.
  • Navigate high precision equipment such as CMMs, Keyence, and Vision Systems.
  • Participate in Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) measurements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with general shop safety and OSHA requirements.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • 1+ years of equivalent work experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Skills

Technical Competencies

  • Basic computer skills (following standard operations procedures, navigating One Drive/SharePoint, QMS, and ERP).
  • Basic math and print reading.
  • Fundamental or basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to perform basic inspection techniques.
