Responsibilities
- Support the Quality and Packaging teams in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Perform AQL inspections on incoming packaging components and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Cookordination inspection requests, review inspection reports, and determine material and product disposition.
- Review quality documentation, including inspection reports, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and related records for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in investigating quality issues, non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints.
- Participate in root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
- Support supplier and contract manufacturer quality management programs.
- Conduct periodic visits to contract manufacturers, filling facilities, and suppliers to perform quality oversight and inspections.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Packaging, Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure product quality throughout the product lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with product evaluations, packaging assessments, testing programs, and additional quality-related projects as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Life Sciences, Mathematics, or another related technical discipline.
- 2–4 years of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Quality Inspection experience within the cosmetics, beauty, personal care, consumer products, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing industry.
- Experience performing incoming, in-process, and/or finished goods inspections.
- Knowledge of quality systems, inspection techniques, documentation practices, and quality records.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally to suppliers, manufacturers, and contract filling facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing AQL inspections using ANSI/ASQ sampling plans.
- Familiarity with Cosmetic Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), ISO standards, or other regulated manufacturing quality systems.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers, contract fillers, and packaging suppliers.
- Passion for the beauty, cosmetics, or personal care industry.
