About the role

CTECS is recruiting for a Precision Machining Trade Instructor to join the team at W.F. Kaynor Technical High School in Waterbury, CT. This role requires a strong background in Precision Machining and a passion for sharing knowledge with students.

Responsibilities

- Prepare students for successful careers in advanced manufacturing. - Combine classroom instruction with hands-on training reflecting today's industry standards. - Demonstrate safe work practices. - Teach the operation of precision machining equipment and tools. - Provide students with technical knowledge and practical skills. - Create engaging learning experiences. - Build partnerships with local businesses to connect students with real-world opportunities.

Requirements

- Possess the 090 Occupational Subject Endorsement or 8 years of experience in the trade or technical field, or 6 years with an associate degree in the subject area.

Qualifications

Skills

- Effective oral and written communication skills. - Interpersonal skills. - Experience providing instructional support. - Experience with maintaining records and charts. - Experience preparing charts. - Experience in teaching or substitute teaching. - Ability to deliver lessons, assess student knowledge, and use educational technology. - Experience with SEL, differentiated instruction, synchronous and asynchronous learning. - Prior experience and connections to the school culture, such as CTEAC Member, WBL Sponsor, Job Shadowing Sponsor, and/or PFO Member.

Pay

$68,107.00 - $108,193.00/year

Schedule

First shift, full time (35 hours per week) Monday through Friday.
