Precision Toolroom Machinist (CNC/Manual)

About the role

Precision Toolroom Machinist is needed to operate CNC and manual machines to produce high-quality metal parts. The position involves setting up machines, programming tools, operating machinery, inspecting workpieces, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and manual machines to manufacture metal parts according to specifications.
• Set up machines, program tools, and adjust settings to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Inspect workpieces for quality and make necessary adjustments to maintain product standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in regular training sessions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in machining or related field.
• Proficiency in using CNC and manual machine tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Good physical condition to perform manual labor and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with quality control processes preferred.
• Knowledge of metalworking materials and processes beneficial.

Skills

• Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and/or CAM software.
• Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
