PREA Compliance Specialist

FinanceFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with headings

for sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. The posting includes: Job Responsibilities (list), Minimum And Additional Requirements (requirements), Preferred Qualifications (qualifications), Additional Comments (benefits). No explicit Pay or Schedule. So we should include sections: About the role? The posting includes a mission and job purpose; maybe we can put that under "About the role". The posting says: "If your goal is to build a career that makes a difference..." That's more like intro. We can treat that as About the role. Also "Mission" and "Job Purpose". We'll combine into prose. Responsibilities: list of duties. Requirements: Minimum And Additional Requirements (state minimum and additional). We'll put under Requirements. Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications. Skills: maybe we can extract skills from requirements: "Excellent written and oral skills. Proficient in the use of MS Office and DJJ's proprietary software systems." Also "Ability to analyze..." etc. Could put under Skills. Benefits: Additional Comments includes benefits list. Pay and Schedule: not present, so omit. We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID. We must not include boilerplate like EEO etc. The posting includes some application instructions at end: "Applications are incomplete if you fail to answer all supplemental questions..." etc. Those are application instructions; we should remove them. Also background investigation etc. Those are also application instructions/boilerplate; we should remove. The instruction says remove application instructions. So we need to strip those lines. Thus we keep only substantive info: mission, job purpose, responsibilities, requirements, qualifications, skills, benefits. Let's parse. So benefits list: Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Health, dental, and life insurance, 15 days annual (vacation) leave per year, 15 days of sick leave per year, 13 paid holidays, State retirement plans and deferred compensation programs, Discount Programs such as TicketatWork and WeSave. Now we need to format. We'll have sections:

About the role

with prose combining the introductory paragraph, mission, job purpose.

Responsibilities

with
  • for each duty. The responsibilities are grouped under headings within the text: Coordinates Compliance and Monitoring, Manages PREA Incident Response and Investigations, Develops and Delivers Training Programs, Manages Data Collection and Reporting, Serves as PREA Resource and Liaison. We could either keep those as subheadings? But spec says use

for section headings only; we could keep them as or just include in list items. Probably better to keep as list items with the description. Could break each major duty as a list item containing subpoints? But spec says use
    • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So we can make each major duty a list item, and inside we can have further detail as sentences. That's fine. Thus
      • Coordinates Compliance and Monitoring: ...
      • etc. Similarly for Requirements: we have STATE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS and Additional Requirements. We'll combine into list items. Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications list. Skills: we can extract skills: Excellent written and oral skills. Proficient in the use of MS Office and DJJ's proprietary software systems. Understanding of trauma informed care principles. Ability to analyze PREA audit tools, databases, and reports. Ability to understand and apply SCDJJ Policies and Procedures and analyze reports based on glossary and performance indicators. Knowledge of conducting investigations. Maintain appropriate PREA records. Enter data into the internal PREA database, write reports, and assist in developing and implementing PREA corrective action plans. Also maybe "Ability to analyze...". We'll put as list. Benefits: list. We must not include Pay or Schedule. Now produce HTML fragment. Check for any boilerplate left: we removed application instructions. Also removed lines like "Training applicable to these duties will be provided." That's part of requirements? It's a statement; we can keep as part of requirements maybe. It's not boilerplate. Keep. Also "This position performs duties relating to the custody, control, transportation, or recapture of youth within the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Justice, and the employee may have direct and indirect contact with youth within the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Justice." That's also part of requirements; keep. Now ensure we don't repeat job title as heading. Not using. Now produce final HTML. Let's craft. About the role paragraph: combine: "If your goal is to build a career that makes a difference and you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of South Carolina's youth, consider joining the dedicated people of the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). It is the mission of the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) to impact and transform young lives, strengthen families, and support safer communities through targeted prevention and rehabilitation. The core purpose is to serve as the primary resource and subject matter expert on PREA. Acts as a liaison between facilities and external PREA auditors. Now Responsibilities list items: - Coordinates Compliance and Monitoring: Conducts regular facility assessments to evaluate PREA compliance, reviews policies, procedures, and physical plant for compliance gaps, documents findings and maintains detailed compliance records, develops corrective action plans when deficiencies are identified, monitors implementation of corrective measures, and prepares required documentation for external PREA audits.
