Job Description
This program offers a valuable opportunity for hands-on experience in the automotive industry, working alongside an experienced technician and gaining insight into various aspects of auto body repair. This will be a 30 day trial to qualify for the 18-month Technician Development Program.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Aid in performing basic auto body repairs, including dent removal, sanding, and painting under the supervision of experienced technicians.
- Learn to use and maintain tools and equipment properly to ensure safety and efficiency in the workplace.
- Participate in vehicle inspections to identify damages and develop repair plans.
- Collaborate with team members to complete repair projects within specified timelines and quality standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Education And/or Experience Required
- A High School Diploma/GED is preferred.
- Trade/Vocational school graduates are preferred.
- Some on-the-job experience is preferred.
- I-CAR Gold Class is preferred.
Required Skills And Abilities
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time in the repair of a vehicle.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must be able to use hands efficiently in handling vehicle parts.
- Strong interest in the automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop technical skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of auto body repair techniques and tools is preferred but not required.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward learning and problem-solving.
- Reliable transportation to commute to the workplace.

- Extend normal working hours as necessary to accommodate workload and customer requirements.
To Qualify For Entry Into TDP
- Mentor agrees to accept trainee.
- No unplanned absences.
- No tardiness violations.
- Has worked with selected mentor for 90% or more of the 30-day time frame.
- Trainee passes final Pre-TDP assessment.
- Mentor signs training agreement.
Compensation Details
Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience. This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
