Pre-Owned Sales Manager
Job Summary
The Pre-Owned Sales Manager at Garavel Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is responsible for enhancing the sales performance and customer service of the pre-owned and new car departments. This role involves mentoring, coaching, and training sales consultants, enforcing the sales process, setting individual sales goals, managing inventory, merchandising, and coordinating stock.
Essential Functions
- Mentor, coach, and train all Sales Consultants on all aspects of the role and new hire training.
- Enforce the sales process 100% of the time.
- Determine individual sales goals for new Sales Consultants.
- Train and develop Sales Consultants on both a formal and informal basis.
- Record and track all units in the pre-owned dealership inventory.
- Manage the new car inventory effectively and ensure the oldest units on the lot and hard-to-sell models/trim are in prominent positions.
- Cook off stock in of new units and ensure units are stocked into inventory control systems.
- Create a sense of urgency among the sales team to sell pre-owned and new units.
- Desk deals and assist Sales Consultants with presenting figures.
- Appraise all potential trade-ins and lease returns, along with internet prospects.
- Work closely with the Service Manager to assess reconditioning.
- Price vehicles promptly and confirm all online information is correct.
- Organize and evaluate vehicles on auction sites.
- Organize and handle all wholesale merchandise quickly and accurately.

Physical Demands
- Perform the physical duties of the job, including; standing for long periods of time, sitting for long periods of time, walking the dealership lot and showroom floor.
- Ability to continuously stand or walk frequently.
- Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
