Pre-K Lead Teacher

Responsibilities

  • Create a nurturing and positive environment for children and their families.
  • Foster strong bonds and support the comprehensive development of each child, including those with disabilities.
  • Design and execute learning experiences covering physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and creative expression.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress and tailor the curriculum to individual needs.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including hygiene, food handling, illness management, and child supervision.

Requirements

  • Current pay rates vary based on years of experience, the county in which you are employed, and your educational qualifications.
  • Experience working with children in a pre-K setting is preferred.
  • Ability to adhere to GA Dept of Early Care and Learning standards and the current GA Pre-K Curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Valid Georgia teaching certificate or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
  • Experience with Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning standards and the current GA Pre-K Curriculum.
  • Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
