Responsibilities
- Create a nurturing and positive environment for children and their families.
- Foster strong bonds and support the comprehensive development of each child, including those with disabilities.
- Design and execute learning experiences covering physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and creative expression.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress and tailor the curriculum to individual needs.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including hygiene, food handling, illness management, and child supervision.
Requirements
- Current pay rates vary based on years of experience, the county in which you are employed, and your educational qualifications.
- Experience working with children in a pre-K setting is preferred.
- Ability to adhere to GA Dept of Early Care and Learning standards and the current GA Pre-K Curriculum.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Valid Georgia teaching certificate or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
- Experience with Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning standards and the current GA Pre-K Curriculum.
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
