Pre-Construction Estimator/Specialist

Overview

The Pre-Construction Estimator/Specialist plays a key role in developing accurate and competitive pricing by reviewing project specifications, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and generating detailed estimates and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Review specification and drawings
• Solicit pricing from subcontractors and equipment suppliers and follow up to obtain written quotes
• Attend pre-construction site visits (when applicable)
• Aid in the pricing of services to offer customers the best solution
• Build relationships and enjoy quantitative problem-solving
• Provide clear documentation on estimates and proposals
• Provide accurate estimates and proposals
• Partner closely with sales, operations, and engineering teams to assist with the best solutions and pricing
• Aid in the selection of contractors
• Participate in Monthly project review meetings

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of Sales and/or HVAC experience
• Strong skills in written and oral communication, organization, and time management

Physical Demands

• Frequent sitting and computer use
• Occasional standing, walking, and reaching
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Must be physically able to climb ladders and stairs and navigate job sites to survey equipment
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions and exposure to dust, dirt, common allergens, or refrigerants
