Position Overview
As a Pre-Construction Coordinator, you'll play a key role in organizing, tracking, and managing the information and processes that set projects up for success. You'll work closely with Project Managers, designers, and trade partners to keep everything aligned and ready for execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid Project Managers with planning and coordination during the pre-construction phase
- Organize schedules, budgets, estimates, and key documentation prior to project start
- Support subcontractor outreach, bid collection, and proposal comparisons
- Review drawings, specifications, and scopes to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare detailed project handoff packages for construction teams
- Track selections, approvals, permits, and other pre-start requirements
- Communicate with internal staff, architects, designers, and vendors to resolve issues early
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records using construction management software
- Identify potential risks and flag concerns before they affect timelines or costs
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in pre-construction, project coordination, estimating, or construction administration
- Strong understanding of residential construction workflows and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plans
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience with construction software (such as JobTread, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or similar)
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, reliable, and accountable
- Background in construction or estimating is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $65,000-$75,000 annually, based on experience
