Responsibilities
- Taking a residential title file from inception through closing with persistent attention to detail and follow up.
- Ensuring compliance with contracts, settlement statements, mortgages, deeds, and policies of title insurance.
- Verifying that monetary amounts are correct to satisfy all mortgages, taxes and judgments, and overseeing the collection of all fees and charges associated with the settlement.
- Preparing and reviewing documents necessary for settlement.
- Coinciding with buyers, sellers and real estate agents to obtain all of the information necessary to facilitate a smooth settlement experience.
- Reviewing all legal documentation to ensure that it is accurate, properly notarized and recorded, and prepared and submitted in proper form.
- Updating proprietary software with follow-ups, results, and other data entry.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of working knowledge of the Real Estate and or Title Industry
