About the role

The Practice Technology Analyst supports the implementation and adoption of legal technology platforms within practice groups, focusing on AI-powered tools and practice efficiency solutions. This role assists in technology evaluations, pilot programs, and technical support for the firm's practice technology platforms, playing a key role in expanding innovative legal technologies to enhance lawyer efficiency and client service.

Responsibilities

  • Support the evaluation, testing, and implementation of emerging legal technology platforms, including generative AI solutions and other practice innovations.
  • Help prepare and maintain training materials, user guides, and knowledge base articles for practice technology platforms.
  • Provide first-level technical support for practice technology platforms, troubleshooting issues and escalating complex problems when necessary.
  • Monitor technology adoption rates and system usage, creating reports to identify opportunities for increased engagement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and support procedures.
  • Assist with user onboarding and basic training for practice technology solutions.
  • Stay informed about legal technology trends and developments through research and professional development.
  • Participate in technology demonstrations and awareness sessions for practice groups.
  • Assist with data gathering and analysis to support technology decision-making.
  • Maintain communication with technology providers regarding support issues and feature requests.
  • Comply with department and firm administrative procedures and policies.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Able to interact effectively with all levels, including attorneys and senior staff.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent customer service orientation with a focus on user experience.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated initiative in identifying and resolving issues proactively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm or legal technology environment preferred.
  • Experience with legal software applications such as contract analysis tools or practice management platforms.
  • Familiarity with GenAI legal technology platforms commonly used in law firms.
  • Understanding of legal workflows and practice needs.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Basic understanding of data analytics concepts is desirable.

Pay

The anticipated pay range for this role is based on geographic location and represents a good faith estimate of the starting salary at the time of posting. The role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. Actual compensation will be determined by job-related, non-discriminatory factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

  • Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles: $88,600 - $135,100
  • New York City: $96,600 - $147,300

Schedule

This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development, and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
