About the role

We are seeking an experienced Practice Support Assistant to join our healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a role model and mentor for support staff, assisting with onboarding and training
  • Manage complex scheduling, appointment booking, and patient outreach
  • Ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and follow-up activities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolve escalated issues, and support patient satisfaction
  • Oversee waiting room operations, verify patient information, and assist with check-in/check-out
  • Process forms, prior authorizations, prescriptions, and documentation
  • Collaborate on coverage, workflow, and lead team huddles
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and special projects

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of healthcare or medical office experience
  • At least 1 year of Epic electronic medical records experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in medical office administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and EMR systems
  • Strong problem-solving and patient management skills
