About the role
We are seeking an experienced Practice Support Assistant to join our healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a role model and mentor for support staff, assisting with onboarding and training
- Manage complex scheduling, appointment booking, and patient outreach
- Ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and follow-up activities
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolve escalated issues, and support patient satisfaction
- Oversee waiting room operations, verify patient information, and assist with check-in/check-out
- Process forms, prior authorizations, prescriptions, and documentation
- Collaborate on coverage, workflow, and lead team huddles
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and special projects
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of healthcare or medical office experience
- At least 1 year of Epic electronic medical records experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in medical office administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and EMR systems
- Strong problem-solving and patient management skills
