Responsibilities
- Anticipate, plan, organize and direct the operations of one or more physician practices supporting 6 or more providers and managing a minimum of 10 employee FTEs to ensure the highest quality care and services are provided to patients.
- Achieve the annual operational and financial goals of the practice.
- Provide oversight of the practice lead and employees to ensure efficient operations and workflows for patients, providers, and employees through the application of standardized processes and best practices.
- Set the standards of behavior, professionalism, and outstanding customer services in all relationships with internal and external customers.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the practice, including staff and provider schedules, performance management, and ensure timely communication with team members.
- Facilitate troubleshooting and follow up to ensure effective provider, staff, customer and peer relationships.
- Adhere to the established controls of quality, compliance and risk standards for the day-to-day operations of the physician practice(s), including management of supply chain activities, ordering of supplies, maintaining inventory, adhering to departmental budgets, and processing all invoices and bills for the office.
- Function as a key liaison for all new provider integration activities for the practice(s), assisting in the transition process for onboarding new physicians and APCPs.
- Manage all revenue cycle processes, including registration workflows, work queues, copays, daily cash drawer, bank deposits, and coding compliance. Review applicable practice data and identify variances.
- Analyze financial and billing reports to assist with decision-making and reporting. Participate in planning and budgeting preparation and analysis.
- Meet with Practice Administrator and medical group/market leadership as appropriate to review trends and develop/adjust strategic priorities.
- Coordinate support functions to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, where applicable, and other required regulatory agencies.
- Handle personnel functions, in collaboration with HR as appropriate, including check-ins and evaluations.
Requirements
- High school diploma (required)
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (Preferred, required if performing clinical functions, within 90 days of hire)
- 4 years of recent experience in healthcare (required)
- 2 years of supervisory experience (required)
