Practice Manager

About the role
Exciting opportunity to join our Neuroscience Team as a Practice Manager. This is a full-time, exempt position requiring travel between locations in Queens. You will mentor, inspire, and engage staff while overseeing daily operations, practice leadership, and setting short-term and long-term goals for the Neurosurgery practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage practice operations budget, registration, scheduling, visit closing, billing/collection, and clinical information processes to ensure timely and effective functioning.
- Ensure operations align with established NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group (NYPMG) procedures.
- Determine work schedules, including holiday and vacation time.
- Cultivate teamwork and maintain high-level communication among staff.
- Work closely with Directors to implement workflows improving patient access and satisfaction.
- Coordinate activities, tools, and resources with other office and hospital departments, practices, and service groups as necessary.
- Maintain practice standards and adhere to quality goals and performance criteria, including budget-to-actual volumes.
- Preserve a safe environment through office procedures that sustain high levels of patient and staff safety.
- Perform all duties inherent to a managerial role, including hiring, training, evaluation, and termination of assigned staff according to NYPMG policies.
- Participate in special projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of EHR and practice management billing/scheduling systems.
- Knowledge of medical information, practice compliance, and regulatory standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Practice Manager within a Neurology/Neurosurgery setting.
- Master’s in healthcare or business administration.
- 2+ years of practice management experience.
Pay
Salary Range: $89,000–$111,500/Annual
