Practice Manager
About the role
At Chewy Vet Care, PLLC, we're transforming the veterinary care experience. We're seeking a full-time Practice Manager to join our Healthcare Practice Team. This role involves supporting paraprofessional staff, providing operational support, and managing the practice's operational functions.
Responsibilities
- Support paraprofessional staff in implementing policies and procedures, utilizing integrated technology, and managing operational functions.
- Work with regional and corporate leadership to support and develop the practice team.
- Oversee the operational performance of the practice team and coordinate work schedules.
- Conduct staff reviews, handle concerns, and mentor team members for career development.
- Coordinate inventory cycle counts and fulfill inventory needs.
- Engage with clients to ensure they receive top-tier care and resolve conflicts or complaints.
- Maintain equipment and follow OSHA guidelines.
- Guide the team in following SOPs and SOC, and assist with improving performance through SOP reviews and practice metrics.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and team members.
- Act as a PIMS administrative super-user and assist others in using the technology.
- Manage pharmacy holdings and participate in self-development courses and Chewy Vet Care compliance training.
- Oversee operating, safety, and compliance procedures as required by law and company policies.
- May require some travel.
Requirements
- Successful completion of the CVPM program and current certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Practice Manager in practice, with 2 years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines preferred.
- Ability to mentor and lead others.
- Ability to connect with clients and demonstrate empathy and compassion.
- Ability to manage conflict resolution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, observational, and analytical skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, self-starter environment.
Qualifications
- Standing or walking up to 80% per shift.
- Frequently lift up to 70 pounds using an optional team lift.
- Sometimes lift more than 70 pounds using a team lift.
- Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel.
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $76,000 - $114,000.00. Specific salary offered may vary based on experience, education, and work location. Additional benefits include:

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $76,000 - $114,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
Schedule
This position is eligible for an annual PTO. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
