About the role
The Practice Administrator will oversee the financial management, business, and clinical operations of multiple medical group practices. This role includes managing budgets, material procurement, coding, billing, accounts receivable/compliance management, accounting, marketing, development, human resources, operations/planning, patient flow processes, information systems, communications, and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the daily operations and general management of the practices and supervision of subordinate practice managers.
- Support operations management related to providers.
- Develop educational planning programs, allocate and assign duties to employees, and monitor the activities and operations of all practice components.
- Provide support and leadership for due diligence regarding acquisitions and divestitures.
- Oversee the management of multiple sites and/or specialties, supporting a significant provider population, and comprehensive fiscal operations and revenue.
- Manage the day-to-day operations and financial control of assigned site.
- Organize and direct daily operations at site, participate in recruitment, hiring, coaching, mentoring, and termination of non-physician staff.
- Evaluate the performance of staff including physician input, establish office staffing patterns, delineate job responsibilities, review and approve time sheets, implement and maintain systems for supply procurement, recommend and justify capital purchases, initiate orientation and continuing education programs, oversee facility management, prepare annual management action plans, plan short and long-term goals, and foster effective team member communication.
- Ensure the collection and compilation of quality assurance and clinical data for management decision-making.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1 year of relevant work experience within a practice setting.
- 2 years of administrative leadership experience or a combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated communications and analytical skills required – including, but not limited to, professional billing experience, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial management, personnel management, team building, and appropriate interpersonal skills.

- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
