About the role

Responsibilities

• Performs welding, laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Uses English language to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
• Reads and interprets blueprints, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Uses a complete set of tools suitable for industrial pipe fitting and welding.
• Stoops, bends, manipulates tools in small spaces, lifts up to 50 pounds, and performs work at heights.
• Passes pipe coupon weld test.

Qualifications

• Possesses the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing).
• Has a complete set of tools appropriate for industrial pipe fitting/welding.
• Can stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces.
• Frequent lifting and/or moving of varied objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Passes pipe coupon weld test.
• At least 4 years of pipe welding experience, preferably in an industrial setting.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements

• Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign.
• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must possess sufficient strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above.
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas.
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age.
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders.
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job-related noises.
• Must have visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination consistent with working at heights and on uneven surfaces.
• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
