Job Summary
We are a leading industrial mechanical, electrical, and civil construction services provider for the fossil and nuclear power, pulp and paper, chemical, mining, and general manufacturing industries. We provide a full range of industrial facilities maintenance and process maintenance services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepares metal surfaces per required coating specifications
- In Energy Delivery Substations Operations, performs as a working foreman, working in Electrical Substations and in subdivisions around and on energized equipment such as transformers, voltage regulators, oil circuit breakers, control buildings, etc.
- This preparation requires the knowledge and use of equipment such as sandblast equipment, high pressure water blast equipment, steam cleaners, scrapers, and air-driven needle scalers.
- Scrapes and primes various surfaces, applies bonding coats to masonry surfaces, patches and caulks cracks.
- Applies paints, lacquers, varnishes, sealers, alkyd enamels, epoxies, silicones, and polyurethanes coatings.
- Pays attention to V.O.C. regulations, fugitive dust, and all environmental restraints dealing with hazardous waste generation.
- May be required to work overtime or alternate hours as necessary for the efficient operation of the department.

Qualifications
- High school diploma from an accredited school or its equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience as an industrial painter or three (3) years of experience in journey level painting
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities and other competencies necessary for success in the target position
- Must possess and maintain a valid state of Florida driver's license
Physical Demands
- Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
- May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
- Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
- Must have full range of motion consistent with age
- Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
- Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
- Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
- Safety/Steel toe shoes are required
