PowerBI Developer - Mid
About the role
Everforth ECS is seeking a PowerBI Developer - Mid with strong data analysis and visualization skills to join our team in Arlington, VA (Hybrid). In this role, you will support our lead BI developer and help maintain and enhance our business intelligence dashboards and reports, support the migration of legacy reports, and create new, high-impact Power BI solutions. You will interface with key stakeholders, leverage your technical proficiency throughout the migration process, and design and develop advanced interactive dashboards that drive insights and support strategic data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and support business units to design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports that effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.
- Partner with the data engineering team to integrate Power BI with various data sources, ensuring data accuracy and implementing necessary data transformations.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to support business decisions, identify trends, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Optimize Power BI dashboards for performance and usability, ensuring rapid load times and intuitive user experiences.
- Work closely with business users to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Create and maintain documentation for developed Power BI dashboards, data models, and processes.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior developers and end-users on Power BI usage, best practices, and data visualization techniques.
Requirements
- US Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) Public Trust.
- Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years of relevant experience (or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power BI.
- Proficiency in Power BI, DAX programming, data integration, data modeling, and cloud integration.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with data querying, manipulation, and automation.
- Experience building dashboards and reports, business intelligence, and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data security implementation.
- Experience working with AWS S3, Databricks Lakehouse, Azure Data Lake, SQL server, and Oracle databases.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and working in a team environment.
Skills
- Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certification (desired).
- Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
- Experience leveraging Databricks and Databricks AI/BI.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
- Good experience in end-to-end implementation of data warehouse and data marts.
Pay
Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000
