PowerBI Developer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the implementation of information technology projects for the IT Portfolio Management Office.
• Project responsibilities include plans, resource planning, technical leadership, systems integration and technical architecture.
• Operational support responsibilities include managing work assignments and deliverables towards the development of Power BI reports.
• Provide enhancements to the reports and resolution of defects.

Requirements

• Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, models and reporting.
• Aggregate views of data sources into meaningful hierarchies.
• Develop Power BI reports and analyses with direction from other senior members on the team.
• Present findings to leads using visual story telling.
• Practice safety-conscious behaviours in all operational processes and procedures.
• Have a team first attitude with the success of our team and business partners as their top priority.
• Be intellectually curious, ask questions and speak up when they have an idea.
• Be independent workers who look for problems to solve and then come up with innovative ideas.
• Work independently without frequent management direction and know when to communicate status or escalate issues to their manager, teammates or stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Highly skilled IT professional to lead all facets of system development within Power BI.
• Should be experienced and familiar with other Business Intelligence analytical tools, such as SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS.
• Should have basic knowledge of JavaScript and SQL.
