Postdoctoral Scholar in Viral Immunology
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join an interdisciplinary research program focused on viral and parasite immunology. The successful candidate will investigate immune responses to viral and parasitic infection, with an emphasis on mechanisms of host defense and the effect of an individual’s infection history on subsequent exposure.
Responsibilities
- Investigate immune responses to viral and parasitic infection
- Study mechanisms of host defense
- Examine the impact of prior infection history on subsequent exposures
Qualifications
- PhD in Immunology, Virology, Microbiology, or related field
- Evidence of scientific productivity evidenced by at least one first-author publication either in preprint or already published in a peer-reviewed journal
- Experience with viral infection models is required
- An open mind and willingness to learn new skills are preferred
Funding
Institutional funds. Shortlisted scholars will be encouraged to apply for external fellowship and funds.
