Postdoctoral Research Associate - Radiology

About the role

We are currently seeking talented postdoctoral fellows to join our diverse, engaging, and dynamic research lab. The principal focus of the Neumann lab at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is developing novel radiopharmaceuticals with diagnostic and/or therapeutic potential toward improving disease outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize novel molecules and imaging agents using synthetic organic chemistry and radiochemistry
• Characterize biological activity in relevant cell culture and live animal imaging studies with the goal of clinical translation
• Evaluate novel imaging agents in live animals using PET/CT and PET/MRI
• Utilize Focused Ultrasound techniques to improve therapeutic delivery to the Central Nervous System by reversible blood brain barrier disruption and sonodynamic therapy

Requirements

• PhD in synthetic organic chemistry, radiochemistry, or a closely related field
• Experience in molecular imaging is desirable
