Postdoctoral Research Associate- Michaudel Laboratory
About the role
Texas A&M University's Department of Chemistry is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct interdisciplinary research in synthetic organic chemistry and homogeneous catalysis.
Responsibilities
- Conducting research in Organic/Polymer Chemistry
- Analyzing and disseminating data results as part of participation in group meetings
- Preparing manuscripts, periodic reports, scientific papers/presentations
- Making presentations of results at group meetings and other appropriate venues
- Providing advice and assistance to other laboratory team members, acting as a mentor to students
- Attending scientific meetings and seminars for research enhancement
- Keeping up to date on scientific research via reading of literature, etc.
- Participating in writing grant proposals
- Maintaining laboratory instrumentation and following applicable safety standards
Qualifications
- PhD in related fields
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: catalysis, photochemistry, electrochemistry, organic synthesis, polymer synthesis, mechanistic studies, or related fields
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Skills
The successful candidate will be expected to have strong skills in:

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience.
Special Note: Due to this position’s salary having all or a portion of it being funded by grants or contracts, the continuing salary and overall employment is contingent upon availability of these funds in the future.
