About the role

The Fregosi laboratory in the Department of Physiology has a unique opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow I-III (DOE) to join their team of people working to improve our understanding of the neural control of breathing and swallowing. This work is designed to lay the foundation for the development of treatments for diseases such as obstructive sleep apnea and dysphagia.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting experiments on neural control of breathing and swallowing
  • Collaborating with other researchers to advance knowledge in the field
  • Writing and publishing research papers
  • Presenting research findings at scientific conferences

Requirements

  • A PhD in Neuroscience, Physiology, or a related field
  • Experience in electrophysiology, behavioral neuroscience, or related areas
